All public sector workers deserve a pay rise

Meeting: All public sector workers deserve a pay rise, House of Commons, London, 6 March 2018, 18.00-19.00.
After a seven-year pay squeeze all public sector workers deserve a pay rise. The rise in the cost of living has cut the value of pay. 2018 must be the year to scrap the 1% pay cap and to fund an above inflation pay increase for all. This meeting has been organised by PCS, working with the National Education Union, UNITE and labour movement think tank CLASS, and has been organised to bring together powerful trade union and political leaders and call time on the government’s public sector pay policy and give public sector workers the pay rise they deserve.
Speakers include: Mark Serwotka, PCS General Secretary, Len McCluskey, Unite General Secretary, Louise Regan, NEU president, John McDonnell, Shadow Chancellor, Faiza Shaheen, CLASS Director, Ian Lavery MP, Chris Stephens MP
